Hurley Veterinary Hospital is frequently asked to provide refuge and medical care for local homeless and strays, lost or injured pets. This may include:

- Regular exams
- Blood work, x-rays and other diagnostics
- Vaccinations
- Spaying or neutering
- Surgery and related expenses
- Medicine and vitamins
- Rehabilitative care
- Food and other boarding costs
When the animals are well enough, they are offered for adoption. For cases such as these, we started a special fund to pay for medical and critical care.
As well as providing our services, the Hurley Veterinary Hospital donates regularly to this fund.
